Viper exhaust baffle for MOT question.
My NC30 i bought a few weeks ago has a Viper race can fitted, which sounds great but i need to get an MOT soon and notice that Viper do a universal BS approved baffle to fit their cans. The only trouble is according to their web site you have to drill a bloody great hole in the top of the exhaust for a big bolt to pass through to fit the baffle! Does anyone have one of these fitted, and if so did you find a more discreet way of fitting it?
I know some MOT testers will pass a race can but i dont want the hassle and expense of a re test if i can spend £12 on the baffle. Thought about getting a standard can for MOT too but they are silly money for what i want it for. Also anyone got any good ideas on what to do about the 'for race use only' message Viper have very helpfully stamped on the end?

Cover over the stamped 'not for race use' with a bit of tape - MOT'ers are not allowed to remove items from vehicles, so if they can't see it its not there!!!
As for the baffle - I have universal one on my end can which I had to drill a 5mm hole in the outlet spout (at the bottom edge) Its not too noticeable

Polish it out, if you drill a hole for a baffle and then remove it after the mot and a copper spots the hole (it happens trust me) he'll do you for not having it fitted. If theres no hole or markings on the can theres not a lot they can do unless they wanna be shitty and get it noise tested.

Like you say some MOT stations will pass a race can.
The guy that MOT's my bikes says as long as it's not too loud then he'll pass it. Stamps, baffles etc don't matter, well at least at my garage.

Ok thanks for the help guys, think I'll get the baffle and try and drill the hole at the side so it's as hidden as possible.
