i was hoping to have her ready for our wedding day so i could 'hand her over' in front of everyone whilst i do my speach. then she could have some 'press release' pictures taken by the photographer on the day ( no washing in sight! )
this is not going to happen though. just under 7 weeks till 'w' day, still have to get her -
mot'd
tax'd
insured
painted
front brakes serviced
sort out the bad earth that causes the side lights to flash when the indicator is on!
and lots of other little fiddley bits to get her right.
and this wedding has drained all of my funds - i have found i am in the wrong job, weddings are where the money is to be made.
suits, dress, flowers, venues, cars all completey stupid amounts of money but if it keeps her happy and i can keep my....er i mean her nc30 then i guess it is all worth while. though this maybe one of the most expensive nc30's ever once i have paid and finished her & the wedding!

Hi,
For a wedding I think the bike has already the right colour white. So just leave as is and paint later.
Cheers, Mansie

The rule simply is: if you're rich have a pompous wedding. If you're poor, have a simple one. Rent the wedding dress or get it off ebay, rent the suit, borrow a fancy Merc. I got married to a Chinese woman and they have giant weddings with hundreds of guests. How can the daughter of a taxi driver do such a thing? Simple: all guests give a red envelope with money, enough to pay for their meal. If you don't run a profit, at least the loss is not too big.pugparcels wrote: and this wedding has drained all of my funds - i have found i am in the wrong job, weddings are where the money is to be made. suits, dress, flowers, venues, cars all completey stupid amounts of money but if it keeps her happy and i can keep my....er i mean her nc30 then i guess it is all worth while. though this maybe one of the most expensive nc30's ever once i have paid and finished her & the wedding!

ooh.. Mansie, get ready for the fallout on that one!!
Gotta feeling a LOT of women will disagree with a simple 'pompus' vs 'modest' rule

Re: would you be happy with this as a wedding gift?
we are having a wedding that is affordable to us. we havent gone over budget ( yet ) however it is such a lot of money to spend on one day. i have however been surprised how much a handfull of pound notes can still bring the price down.
the limo, flowers, dress, suit hire & dj prices all dropped dramatically when i pulled a wad of 50's out my pocket.
matt,
the mini's great in the best colours as well. did you have the 'self preservation society' playing as the good lady walked down the isle?

No, it was a little 'off the wall' though. It was something by Lambchop - Theone (Instrumental version)

Good luck with the wedding, ours was just how we wanted it, small, close family only and then a bbq at our house. It went really well and got good reviews from all attendees. They don't have to be fancy to be good.

Yep it looks well nice. Just imagine when it's painted up.
Chosen a scheme yet?

My old man has one in those colours (Granted it's an 08 model and not and 03/04) but they do look nice black / white
