Gutting the stock silencer?

Gutting the stock silencer?

I like the look of the stock silencer compared to some of the thicker more clumsy looking cans i've seen on some bikes (including mine) but don't think i could go back to the sewing machine sound after having had this remus can on. Wondering is it easy to gut the stock can out a bit and how do you go about doing this?
