radiator re-core

has anybody on here had a nc30 lower radiator re-cored?
looing at the prices for a second rad was wondering if it was much more to have it re-cored as you run the risk of the secondhand radiator sti leaking

I had mine done at Northern Radiators in Bradford. £160...

But, it is bob on now and all good. Prob can get it cheaper than that if you shopped about.

For a race bike...you can consider a set of Rick Oliver rads - pricy, but pimp and lovely kit.

£160 not too bad, considering a secondhand rad is going for about £60-£80 on flee bay.
beleive theres a place in bolton that will do them, a mates had a few car rads done there. not sure of the price but going to find out.

seen pics of ricks radiators, they do look good but at a price tag of £400 ish each they would be as expensive as the bike.

My friend told me he would make me a set of race radiators, top and bottom for just the cost of materials as he runs his own fabricating business in the motorsport industry. (Fits Ally products to race cars, historic cars etc... I had the pleasure of watching him work on a Mk1 AC Cobra that the guy paid £500'000 for! Yikes!) Basically the Radiators in total would cost me about £60. Hee Hee.

I would of thought £160 would be a little excessive for just a re-core? or is it just me?

I sent mine to Rick at Alutec, it cost me 140 quid but came back like a brand new part. I can't recommend him enough, its genius work!
