hi
got my son's sf restricted
had to go to bike shop the order it fit it fill all paper work in and send it back to the company
you keep a copy of paper work for insurance/police if questioned
cost of kit +fitment dependent on shop labour charges
i looked on ebay
hard to come by but it's proving your bikes restricted if you have a crash/pull and police want to investigate
it's very expensive for four washes and 3 copys of paper work just in case..
when his 2 years are up reckon it'll take 15mins to pull em out..that's it no re jetting or anything.
on the positive side the bike still ok restricted cruises 70...pulls 85 2 up....about 95 flat
my son went straight from an aprilia rs50 to the sf.. the bikes perfect for him

Re: Restrictor for CB400 superfour????
£180 for restrictor kit then £60 fitting
£850 for bike
he didn't do bad he got £750 for his 50cc on ebay
look at £250 on top of price of bike
did look into buying 500cc or 600cc already restricted
but you pay just as much extra on insurance as your restrictor kit..so over 2 years twice as much.
look on internet for f1 international restrictor kits..this company has the monoply..trade only
hope this helps

how big are the washers themselves and how big are the holes?
Maybe some pictures?
Mine is registered as restricted but isn't restricted.

Re: Restrictor for CB400 superfour????
it's not just a hole in the washer though, it's an oval or elipse shape. If you're thinking of that though why not just take them out? Surely it's the same consiquences with very little of the gain?

Re: Restrictor for CB400 superfour????
yes same crime
just don't want to take them out 1 day to go from 33 to 52bph.
introduce him to the power little by little
bearing in mind he previous bike was aprilia rs50
it was a big jump from that to 33bhp

BikerBiffo,
Could you please tell me where you got the restrictor kit for your SF? I am looking at buying a SF, but i cannot find any restrictor kits for the sepcific bike. Will a restrictor kit off a normal 400 work?
Regards,
Alex

hi
http://www.fiinternational.com/our-products.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
this is where your local bike shop will purchase them from
they've got to fit em and send the paper work off
you can't buy them direct
unless of cause you know someone in the trade who'll get you one
hope this helps
ps:the superfours still a cracking bike restricted
cheers
