nc29 oil level

Hi,do you check the oil level on the dipstick of an nc29,with the stick screwed in the casing,or resting on the top of the casing ? thanks,steve.

resting on the top...

ideally you need someone holding the bike upright on a level surface...not on a paddock stand.
