What is the engine oil type I must use for GSXR 400 94"?
What is the engine oil type I must use for GSXR 400 94"? My mechanic was using Motule Scooter power (WTF). Im in Vn and MAYBE hard to find a repair shop which follows good practices and standards or maybe even difficult to find a suitable can of engine oil. What is the oil type I must use? Like SAE 40 or something? Please help. Thank you
These days I felt gear shifting is not smooth, sometimes is it as light as a feather or it maybe hard to shift. A person told me it is a sign to change the engine oil. Is this true? Thanks

Your in Vietnam? You lucky to get scooter oil and not cooking oil.
You need a good 10W40 oil.

Nah dont think that. Get the oil changed for some good quality semi-synthetic 10W40. Thats what youre looking for. Dont think the scooter oil would have caused a problem if its been in a short while - I just dont think its got the additives to last long in a GSXR400 engine.

Im in south (Saigon/HCMC) and has only two seasons (dry/wet) but at north, 4 seasons. I don't know much about North but in south it usually stays at 28c I guess. In summer it is even more hotter.

ok, 10w40 should be fine. To break it down basically the 10w means the lowest operating temp is -10c outside and the 40 means it shouldn't be hotter than 40c outside, in England, that's fine but was just checking
