I fitted a CBR400 NC29 regulator/rectifier that I have on loan until I get a replacement... all seems good so far. So Thanks for the advice and info :peace:

Just one more question... my original Regulator/Rectifier was clearly opened up before as it's been silconed closed... It also has two additional wires coming out. The one goes to ground the other goes to the rear flicker unit... Any idea what that's all about?

All seems ok with the NC29 Regulator/Rectifier... also, is there any reason I shouldn't use the NC29 rectifier? I wouldn't wanna destroy it because it's just a loan unit...

All honda units are crap, even the new ones. Hence all the vfr750/800 problems.

For £15-20 you can get a 2nd hand GSXR reg thats 1000x better. Ask Cam / Dataracer.. :-)

Old batteries dont' take charge well and the r/r units dont' dissepate the extra heat too good and tend to die.

No idea on your existing reg/rec.. maybe its an aftermarket model? Pics would help..

I'm in South Africa though and bike shops here will sell a GSXR Reg/Rec for more than 15 - 20 GBP equivalent... Should I be looking for any GSXR Reg/Rec?

I think my busted Reg/Rec is the std unit that was opened and hacked, then closed with silicone...

The Green wire was bolted to ground and the blue wire went into the rear flicker unit...

Anyone know if the Fazer 600 reg/rec is as good as the R6 one?

No idea, are they the same part? If not, for the price you can get them i'd just get an R6 one.
