If you change the front sproket you can get away with using a standard length chain.
If you use a bigger rear sprocket you may need a longer chain.
14/40 has always worked well for me on the road.

Well i ordered my sprocket and chain from http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; on Tuesday afternoon, and it turned up the following day, great service!
Tsubaki chain, Renthal sprockets, -1 tooth on the front, standard 38 on rear, 520 pitch conversion.
Looking forward to getting that all fitted
