Hi.
The 200m on that will be 200 milli volts( 0.2volts), put it on 200 volts on the right of the off point, and try in again.
Cheers

Just measured the voltage and the readings are all around 42.9, 42.8, 43.0 at a steady 5k revs so what do you think???

lol 200m is the smallest :D

it starts from High (750, to low 200m (0.02))

43 is a little low but it should have sufficient juice to charge your battery.

Have you followed electrexworlds diag chart? it's pretty ecompassing

Tried to follow the electexworld guide but I just got lost a bit with some of the terminology, so I have gave up on that one for now

You can try the same measurements on the same wiring using the resistance - see what you get?

43 is low...but not too bad.

What does your batter show at 5k revs? In DC volts - should be over 14 at 5k revs.

I'm also having a similar problem... The bike starts fine after it's been standing for a while which tell me the Battery is fine (charge is coming up when it's parked)... with the ignition off the battery is 12.5 at the terminals. Ignition on it drops to 11.80.

When I start and idle it goes up to 12.0 and when i rev to 5k it goes up to 12.88

I've tested the alternator wires (3 yellow wires) at the alternator all show around 45 or there about...

so, is the regular/rectifier the likely culprit?

I had a chat with a guy at a bike shop that specialises in electrical work and he said it's more likely that the stator failed than it being the regulator... could it be?

He also said I should try the alternator wires again and test it to ground which should show 0.

Your altenator could be breaking down under load.

Testing to earth means continuity check.

Set your mutlimeter to Ohms (measures resistance) and check each yellow wire to earth.. you should not get a reading at all.

The Reg/Rec is probably knackered on these bikes as it is a weak point!

Once again I have to say many thanks for Cam for his suggestion of the R6 reg.. mine is fantastic.

I dont think your battery should drop that much, mine doesn't change. Have you tried a different battery?

Maybe you have multiple issues. A bad battery will mask all of these.
