Had a bit of spare time, so i fitted the beet exhaust, carbs with throttle cable and the radiator. The rad is in a poor state but it works fine, will keep an eye out for a better one in the future.

Will see if i can get her running tomorrow, then im gonna be playing with my new Morgan carb balancer. Will also check every nut again and have another general clean

Looking good man.
When is Team Slugs going to hit the racetrack?
You know a sneaky race outing at Mallory is just round the corner from you....
Bring on the IL4 vs V4 400gb battles!

Have we decided where that is going to be yet? Rockingham/Mallory/Cadwell/Snetterton/Anglesey are all cheap. Oulton/Brands/Croft/Silverstone are all pricy
I reckon one sometime in April/May and then a poss double header and party stylee in July/August?
I am happy to make the effort for a longer distance one as long as there is enough notice.

Cleaned and re-oiled the k&n filter, then fitted the airbox, dropped the tank on and connected the fuel line. Attempted to start her, but the battery died after a few goes. Borrowed the one out of my road 29 and tried again. After what seemed ages she fired up!!
Left her on choke until she was warmed up, blipped the throttle a couple of times just cus i was excited and ive got to admit she sounds sweet. Idling really nice and the engine sounds just right if that makes sense. One happy chappy.
So thats the engine done, will be moving onto getting the brakes, cables and rearsets sorted next.

Re made off the plug end at the reg/rec as it looked to be in a sorry state, a couple of the terminals looked heat damaged due to loose connections. Also made a plate up for the brakeside rearset as it wasnt operating smoothly as the master cylinder was at the wrong angle. Rear shock remote sited, checked it was reachable with the seat unit on. Think im going to need a smaller diameter end can as my track one is now too close with the new beet system ive fitted.
