It's gotta go. Anyone interested before I fleabay it?
Right.
Been rebuilding an NC24 over the winter.. it was dyno'd at 54bhp. The engines sweet, had new clutch springs, valve check and carb balance and I repainted all the rocker covers. Side cases.
Since then i've managed to bin it twice at slow speeds (10mph) unfortuanatly on both sides!
I've got spare lowers to replace which are near mint.. few graizes on the one but nothing major.
The bar ends have graizes, so do the front and rear footpegs due to the spills.
Good points:
Engines fine, covered 44km. All as should be.
Has Yamaha R6 Reg/Rec conversion.
Chains ok for a fair few miles yet.
Brakes are good, recently overhauled with new pads.
Everything works as it should
Tax till end of March, Mot till April sometime.
Repainted the subframe
Recent service, New plugs, oil filter, oil, clutch springs. Air filter
Full standard exhaust system, collector is fine, i've replaced the collars with stainless items so they wont rot off.
Have the origianl owners manual
Has the original Air Ducts and Centre Cap for the rear wheel
Has the original Toolkit too
2 x plates.. fullsize & a 7"x5" jap size plate.
Bad Points:
Due to the spills it's got graised bar ends, graized foot pegs front and rear and graize on my engine case :/
Front and rear tyre are both past their best and could do with new rubber
The nosecone is scraped and the screen is cracked.
I have plenty of stuff for the bike that i'll be selling separate.
Prices i'm looking for.
Bike as it currently is without new lower panels: £525.00 ish
Bike with new vgc lowers (so the only downside really is the scraped and cracked screen) £575.00
Extras pack: Parts manual, sales broucher, accessories brocheur and some other 80's vfr brouchers: £35.00
It's in Rothmans paint work, all original plastics, including the new rear lowers i'll put on.
i have literally a box of spares that im including with the bike regardless of changing the lowers.. these include things like reg/rec, wiring loom, part of a broken up nosecone... (no screen though) levers, sprockets, spare air duct, racing style gear lever (1 up 5 down) and other random bits and bobs.
Tbh it was going to be a good bike when i'd finished but i've really lost interest in it now. The price may seem a bit steep for the bike if you compare it to some of the tat thats about but all the good parts are ok... fuel tanks sound, collectorbox, reg/rec is a decent yamaha unit mounted to a custom welded plate on the subframe and wired up properly... generators a new electrexworld part. It's been owned by somone who knows these bikes inside out and has all the origianl gear on it.. proper levers, toolkit, owners handbook, rear wheel cap, air ducts.. original bolts.. etc etc.
Just needs some tlc, a coat of paint over the wheels and it'll be a nice classic machine.
I'm advertising it in this section of the forum just to offer you guys a chance.. if I dont' get what i'm after for it i'll just put it in storage with the rest of my bikes and maybe come back to it one day.. when your hearts not in it you really dont' want to mess. I'm not here to rip anyone off and I think my price is fair.. any potential interest is more than welcome to come have a look / inspect the bike.
She'll pull to the red-line in everygear and hit circa 135mph with me on it (10stone)
