Info on Brakes

Hi Guys just wanting some info on what brand pads and discs that are used on your bikes, The rear disc is shot its very wavey I have been looking at some discs on ebay

1st link is front and rear combo and last two are front and a rear sold seperately. At the moment I am running organic on front and rear and it is very spongey, the rear brake is almost non existent and the front comes on late and the shocks end up compressing so I find myself leaving a big distance from my mates to pull up safely.

Any info would be great.

If you get some better front pads you have a good chance of stopping - organic pads are crap for sports bikes in the main - get some o/e Nissin pads if you can - they are superb.

the rear brakes are crap whatever you do....

To add..I also have Stealth rotors and they are superb..but the pads will be your problem, save the money for now and get some good Nissin pads - the job will be a good un!

Have you got braided lines too? If not, check out the goodridge sets on ebay for £40 ish - bargain.

Get some proper Honda pads for the front

Braided lines are good if your still on the old orignal rubber lines as they'll be well past their best!

Unless your concerned with 'looks' just get a standard 2nd hand honda rotor for the rear and put the money saved into the fronts!

Honda pads all the way, worth the extra couple of quid in my opinion cant remember how much dearer they were mind you

yep Im doing 10% off the armstrong discs and 10% off the ferodo pads for grey bike members

The pads are very good quality use them on all my bikes and have no problems with them. Honda and nissin are very good aswell.
