Getting annoyed with NC30 that's not starting.

Did I mention I'm not very good at this stuff?

How do I check for a good vacuum/fuel flowing out of tank?

Sorry if I'm asking obvious questions, but lack of experiance/knowledge = fail.

Right on...

Unplug the vacuum from the tank - press the starter and put your finger over the end of the hose. It should have a little pulsing sucking action (clear those dirty minds )

If you get this, then the hose is working OK...

Next..whip the tank off (with the fuel tap on "off") and have an assistant hold it somewhere you don't mind splashing a bit of fuel. Or over a pot, oil catch tray or in your garden.. Get a hose of some description, because you are going to suck the vacuum tap on the tank - turn the tap to on, suck just once and the fuel should come out and then stop.

If that works, you have fuel on your shoes and a working tap...

Make sure you do set the tap to off though before you disconnect the fuel pipe as sometimes people bypass the vaccumn operated diaphram in the tap so it always flows when turned on.

If this has been done to your bike you'll get fuel going everywhere regardless of your sucking or not.

As long as your getting fuel comming out though is the main thing!
