600rr tank cover on NC29

Has anybody tried to fit up a either model 600RR? Does anybody have access to a tank cover to try it? Unfortunately I am too far away from civilisation to try.

I'm keen to have a 10L alloy tank under a tank cover as part of my race bike weight loss program and the 04-05 tank covers are becoming pretty cheap on ebay. If one of these fits it would save me a lot of time and money making a mould and fibreglasing up a cover.

I've got a spare RR8 tank cover in my garage and an NC29 I can try it on, but like yourself I'm far from civilisation for another 3 weeks or so, so wont be able to try it till then. I'm after something similar, was going to have a play around with it next time I'm home, however I've got a rusty old 29 tank I was going to see about taking a mould off.
Will keep you posted if I actually get round to it............
