Shock and Wheel question
Hey all, as some know im doing my track bike at the moment
I Have Got a Nitron Rear Shock Ready to put in and waiting for the 17 inch rear to come soon :), My question is shall i still use a Modded Linkage or use a standerd one and just adjust the ride height as much as i can ?
Any views would be good thanks, If i should use the modded linkage will this have any effect on the new rear shock ? like being stiffer etc
Thanks Dave

Re: Shock and Wheel question
If it were me, I'd be doing both. Will help with the turning off the bike.

Re: Shock and Wheel question
It depends. If you mod the lower link it will change your spring rate (i.e. will make spring firmer).
If you can get the height by adjusting the shock only (which will change spring rates but not as much as modding link) then I would do that.

Yea cam thats what i was worried of, the firmer the spring is the more it sucks really and pointless of changing, Im sure The Nitron should cover 8mm adjustment to cover the linkage mod well i hope so :D
Just finished porting the heads today, Knife edging the cambers and removing second vavle ridges, took me 8 hours each head pain in the arse, so tommorw ill be taking a fow off each head then hopefully new gaskets should be here for friday for engine to be put back together. Then a nice Service on the engine. Just need to get hold of some plugs which is providing to be a pain before the weekend, i should hopefully have bike fully finished in 2 weeks apart from paint work as i have to so some modifactions
