Fitting NC29 clocks

Post by CBR Monkey »

Having noticed that the plastic bits that hold the clocks in on my NC29 were damaged and the clocks were held in by cable-ties I bought some replacement clocks from fleabay.

They look exactly the same but when I looked at them closely I noticed that they were in MPH instead of KPH and there was nowhere to plug in the black plug from the original clocks shown in the photo below.

Now my electical skills stop at changing a light bulb :oops: , so I am really puzzled as to what to do with this plug. From looking for my Haynes Manual I think it may be a speed restrictor so do I need to wire it in to somewhere or if I leave it unplugged does this mean my bike is de-restricted?

Any help would be appreciated as its got me stumped!

On another note....I think I am off to become a Site Supporter as I am finding I am becoming addicted to looking at this site and I can see me asking for a fair bit more advice in the future...!

Cheers guys..... :clap: :clap:

i ordered one time a rev limiter for CBR but gave me a wrong item, its for RVF. The package doesnt include a wiring diagram or "english" instruction manual. what the F*&^%!!!!

after looking in the product website, i found this....

http://www.posh-faith.co.jp/posh/top.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

on page 99, you can see a rev limiter for CBR with some sort of a connector. i guess those connectors from the clock is for the rev limiter.......thats my best guess too....
