Re: new trick parts arrived
very nice michael...
but one question, why the 22mm braking surface?
i'm sure you have said before but i have forgotten,i was under the impression the more surface area the pads can touch the better braking you would have....
when the bike/s are finished can we have a spec and pictures please ?

It's about unsprung weight innit?
surface area and coefficenet of friction are what you get grip from. I reckon they will be slim as you like 6 pots that match to that skinny rotor.
It is the hound's danglers for sure.

yeh, smaller the rotor the less weight, probably sh&t hot calipers biting them tho so will still make an awesome brake set up,

This is beautiful, Michael! Your bike is beginning to remind me of Durbahn's work. Keep it coming!
By the way, couldn't get in touch with Herr Böcker, but as luck would have it, I somehow got direct access to an Italian radiator company and was able to persuade them into selling me a lower rad which is a superb fit. I'll get some pics on this site in a few days, and yes, there are more to be had if anyone's interested.
/Lasse (used to have the nick southwick, but that got screwed up in the server replacement thingy)

Yes, the discs are lighter and have not so much rotating weight. I will use an isr 6 piston brake caliper withCMSMJ1 wrote:It's about unsprung weight innit?

22mm pistons a 6 pads.
I hope this is a good combination.
