Sub air filter
While overhauling my carbs ive noticed the sub air filter medium has turned to a tar like substance. Ive cleaned it all up now, but i just wondered if there was a real need for the foam to be replaced? Im running a K&N air filter if this makes any difference.

Re: Sub air filter
I used a piece of packing foam soaked in light oil for a year without any adverse effects. I then bought a proper one for a fiver as i was worried that i might be doing harm. More than likely i wasted my money.
