All I knows is that Mike from G-Force said, bang for the buck your best bet is +2mm. He's done more development work on pistons and these little engines than I could ever comprehend, so his word is good for me. The JE 433 kit failed for many reasons, one was weight... dunno how that plays into it, but I'd rather go with something proven than roll the dice.

I think most of the gain comes from the increase in compression ratio.

Are the standard pistons 55mm? can you not use from another motor or is it to get super light forgded jobies.
e.g. Bandit4 are 56mm standard but you can bore to 59mm with fzr6 pistons.

Here's the pricing from page 1. I put that together with the list of folks interested summarized here.

Our prices depend on quantity ordered. You can use the following as a rough guide (12 pistons are our minimum order quantity):
12 pistons £105.00 each + VAT including rings, pins and clips
16 pistons £95.00 each + VAT including rings, pins and clips
20 pistons £85.00 each + VAT including rings, pins and clips
40 pistons £75.00 each + VAT including rings, pins and clips

The above prices are based on a forged piston (providing we have a suitable forging), fully skirted, with standard rings, pins and circlips, at 1 bore diameter (for example, +1mm oversize). Coatings, carriage and any “ad-hoc” machining or processes would be charged separately.

So pricing would be as follows:

Name / # of Sets (x4) / Piston Size / Compression Rate

57mm Sets @ £95.00 each + VAT including rings, pins and clips

ScottieDucati / 2 sets / 57mm / 13.5:1
CMSMJ1 / 1 sets / 57mm / 13.5:1
mruehl34 / 1 set / 57 mm / 13.5:1
g-force / 1 set / 57mm / 13.5:1 <---?? You in Mike?? :?:

FYI I am open to a consensus on compression ratio, Mike at G-Force indicated 13:5:1 is the max safe ratio you can go really...

56mm Sets @ 12 pistons £105.00 each + VAT including rings, pins and clips - provided you get 1 more set to reach the 12 piston minimum order....
