the formula is in the haynes, once you have it right in your head it makes sense ;)

I used wemoto and they were very efficient.

all shims checked and measured and with a bit of juggling and head scratchin looks like i need 3 newuns
the magnet thing is a wicked little tool (for gettin them out anyway) not so good at gettin them back in as the shim sticks to it fast, however i used one of my moddeling files its a small flat file about 5" long and about the width of the shim itself and it has a nice little bend in the end and is perfect for poppin them back in , i stuck it to a large magnet over night and it gave it a little charge to magnatise it slightly just enough to attract the shim to pop it in the hole then just slide the file away as you slide the rocker arm over , perfecto  its now my shim tool hehe

I used some grease on a small flat driver and placed them back very easily. To get them out I used a magnetic tool of Tengtools...
the one above on this picture...nice and smooth. A very strong magnetic tip on slim pen size plus the small mirror to check/re-check if all fits perfect. 8-)
