Tapping and spitting oil, lovely
Hi guys
Started the bike this morning and ta-da, it makes a new (tapping) sound. Its that type of tapping that taps faster as the revs climb. Also noticed its spitting oil/water droplets from the exhaust. Funny thing is, I had the motor out about 3 months ago to have a look at it. Everything was looking good inside. The mechanic thinks I got'em bearings knocking (on my wallet aswell)
How the heck could this have happened?
ps: I had an off not long after I had the motor out. Could it have sucked an air bubble while lying on the road?
cheers

Make sure the exhaust isn't blowing where it meets with the cylinders.
I pulled my exhaust off to paint it and just shoved it back on without re-newing the gasket. Fired it up and a sort of tapping noise started.
Shit myself, turned out to be the headers blowing though.
Only reason i say this is you say oil and water is dripping from the exhuast, so it mught be blowing if fluids can escape.
The water could be condensation dripping out of the pipes/engine and maybe it buring a little oil???
