just re doing the fork seals and was wondering about the correct fork oil level for early spec forks

The early spec forks need 450cc's / 450ml's of 10W oil not 390 - thats the spec for the later forks.

ha, ha! no, no - it aint like that, i only knew because i changed the oil in both the early & late type forks this week!
i hate that job, i always get covered in oil, as does the bike & the top cap always tries to take my teeth out on the late forks!

i just thought i'd add my bit as too much oil aint a good thing.
