NC30 Replacement clutch - advice.

Im looking to replace the clutch on my NC30 - doing the job isnt an issue, its just what make / type of clutch to use!
its strictly a road bike, is lightly tuned & is given a lot of stick - the bike has covered 16,000 miles.
any advice would be great as im not looking to do the job twice.

I'd say this is a case of buy cheap, buy twice.

I had previously used EBC plates and they were good. When they died, I fitted a cheap Kyoto set if plates....and they were totally shite. Made of kebab meat and need replacing already less than a year in..

So, I'm going to get wither std Honda plates or the EBC heavy duty.

I use EBC heavy duty plates and they're still 'bitchin after 12,000miles

Honda parts are the best I've used but are more expensive.

It really comes down to how much you're willing to spend and how long you plan to keep the bike.

i like to do things once & thats it, i aint worried about the money & the bike will never be sold!
its my baby, something i had wanted since i was 15 years old & now mine lives in my living room & doesnt leave the house unless the sun is out - ha, ha!
if the genuine honda clutch is the way to go then im having a new honda clutch.
the original hasnt done bad, its managed 16,000 miles of abuse!

I did the clutch in my bike in the summer I opted for new Honda steels and Ebc kevlar plates, a vast improvement on the last time I did an Nc30 clutch with cheaper parts. It will cost you more in the short term but it will be a matter of do it once but do it right, which means it'll cost less in the long run if that makes sense.

when my clutch wore out put cheapo one in and they burned out in 4K.I just put in some EBC kevlar ones in over the Christmas ( i bought them cheap off another forum user) and they were brilliant. check out my video for help if ya need to.

for the job you will need an internal circlip pliers and the honda castle-nut removal tool. other than that, it is all standard tools.
