nc30 race bike project

well after a few years racing a mini twin (very part timere) i decided to sell up and retire. Before the bike was collected i had decided to buy another 400, raced a cbr400 a few years ago and loved, this time decided on a vfr.

Managed to pick up a complete running, moted and taxed bike off a forum member for around £350 i think, stripped off the unneeded bits and sold on ebay for about £100, leaving me this.



the plan being to give it a quick clean up, fit race body work and ride the bloody thing, simple...

....by now the plan had spiraled as usual for me and it was getting a little more complicated.

vfr750 rear wheel conversion
spare wheels with wets (obvioulsy as if i was only going to ride in the dry)
modded rear link to regain ride height lost with wheel change
quick shifter
hyperpro shock
RS250 fairing, seat and screen aquired from J McG for the pricely sum of £50, mint just wrong year for his restoration project
Rear sets
520 chain and sprocket
Proper shark fin from Rick Oliver (nice piece of kit and good value)

just picked up the bodywork from the painters in my usual blue top, white bottom and black stripe to middle, may do this is carbon fibre vinyl though this time, more pictures to follow soon.

bike is currently in the garage minus the forks, just about to go to K-tech and then we can start the build proper.

i got some race rearsets for sale if your interested £60 delivered, comes with master cylinder, res and brake line

Same as these but im sure they got matching pegs, i'll dig em out and check if your interested

what the bars or lever?

levers are the same and i used to use nc30 bars on my 23 as they have the seperate bars and clamps. in fact i even used nc30 bars and levers on my sv as i had so many spares.

I'll stick my oar in to, good luck with the project, I've got allsorts if you need anything including 750 rear wheels (one yellow,one black) and a Rick Oliver hub amongst other things.
