Your choice and experiences with front brake discs...

Post by micpec »

I want to replace the genuine 296mm front discs on my RVF for new ones soon. I have seen loads of (aftermarket) brands for front discs. I was wondering what front discs you all have fitted on your road bike(s) and what your experiences are? Also nice to read with what sort/brand of pads. Prefer to replace discs and pads in a kit.

Came across brands like Galfer, Armstrong, EBC, Braking, Nissin, Brembo. This is just a list I found, as there should be loads more on the market. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thx! :peace:

Oh yeah, guys! Wavy of course and Grimeca. Also found ISR and PVM, but maybe a bit too dear.

EBC X-Lite's are in use with OEM pads on my '30, no issues, great stopping power.

Braking Italia waveys with either Ferrodo CP911 or EBC Extreme pads, amazing stopping power, use this set up on my road bikes and all my race bikes. Not cheap, but well worth the extra.

Has anyone tried the discs that Tyga sell? They are cheap, but are they likely to be good quality or Chinese?
