just picked my vfr up tonight

thought i had a grand up stairs looking everywhere then realised id spent it lol
well mad dash around all cash points getting the weg ,bit of a ballache when i was already 10 mins late :oops: and half the machines was empty

anyways got there in the end

ive only had a new ducati 695 monster ..had too sell as needs must needed the cash

so this vfr is a 89 f plate resprayed silver with black decals and black wheels that need redoing asap

WOW :o i was expecting it to be slow . How wrong was i :oops: man they are a bit of a weapon lol

pics up tomorrow

goes well needs a dam good clean and a few bits to sort but for 1 grand what a bike so much fun for a while i was frightened lmao :mrgreen: :lol:


ps i have no fuel gauge on mine is there supposed to be??????

nope no fuel gauge, but you get a reserve, the tap is by your left leg, in the cut out in the seat unit.

its a great bike first thing i want to do is take it apart and check all bolts etc bummer about the fuel gauge maybe one could be added i dont know

the fairings are mint just dust on every thing else


neutrel seems a pain to get into must be clutch not sure

give the throttle a blip to about 3000rpm while trying to get it into neutral. should go straight in. alternatively, slip it into neutral as you're coming to a stop. its nothing to worry about, as most nc30's seem to have this problem.

A note on the fuel tap, make sure you travel with it in the on position. It starts coughing and spluttering when it needs turned to reserve, when you fill up again turn it back to the on positions. Sods law states that if you leave it on reserve, next thing you know, you've run out of petrol. These bikes have lots of little quirks, but once you get used to them, they are awesome

:D I'll second that, I haven't looked back since I got mine in September, although after watching the RC30 vid posted in the General section, I went onto Bike Trader... :roll:
