M Max derestrictor box
Any idea where I can get one of these? I was eyeing one up on eBay and was forced to bid on one before I left work this evening, and between leaving and getting home I got beaten to it! That's the only one I've actually seen for sale, there is a link on a thread about them on the VFR Club forum, but it's dead. So, any ideas where I can get one or similar?

You can derestrict the bike just be cutting the tab out of the speedo, is there something else the M Max box does that i'm unaware of?

Re: M Max derestrictor box
hello mate - wouldnt you be better off with a Rick Oliver cdi / ecu???
yeah, they cost £150 but im sure it'll do a better job than a m-max de-restrictor.

M Max does bugger all apart from prevent the 180kmh/112mph cutout. That is it.
You can get the same result with a 20p resistor or by removing the half moon in the clocks as we have discussed many times

I bought the cheap plug-in resistor from Rick. Easy to fit and worked a treat before going mad and getting the Ignitech CDI.

I'm aware of that and that's what I want it for.CMSMJ1 wrote:M Max does bugger all apart from prevent the 180kmh/112mph cutout. That is it.
Banoffee - is the i've seen the plug-in resistor on Rick's stocklist. Is it simply a box with a couple of plugs on it so it can plumb into the loom, and is it essentially the same as the M Max unit?

Yes - they all are a resistor in a box. The site used to sell them and I have one of them. What do you want to pay?
