So WHERE do you find a road straight enough with no junctions to get it to 143mph without having a death wish or risk losing your licence.
I am dubious as mine has had £1000's spent on it and will run with an early CBR600 side by side to the limiter. Its so far off the clock god knows what speed its doing but I'd be dubious if it was more than 140mph.
Mine has been skimmed, head work, Kent cams light weighted race loom, extensive set up with different systems and exhausts to get optimimum performance.
The only time I have ever seen a bike that would destroy mine was an NC29 which was from RLR. They are renouned for getting superperformance out of motors but then again, if you want an engine refresh every 1200 miles, then thats your choice to waste £600 a shot and still have the risk of blowing it. Mine is set up for endurance so doesn't need to be tuned to the limit as it still is very fast for a 400, but when its put into perspective, as fast as the bike can go, the rider ME, has a safety limit way before the bike limit..... Usually. And that goes for 90% of the competent riders and not the pub heroes.

I dont know if mine is yet,it is still in the back of my car. The two we used for the Manx last year were both just short of 70.I cant try the new one yet because I still want to try a new pipe on the engine that is in the bike.If it makes a difference I will know I am going forwards. My best engine last year did 135 though the speedtrap at the Manx, and lapped at 104.
