HRC CHIP/BOX

Post by Chris 91UK » Thu Dec 17, 2009 4:18 pm

hi,

i recently purchased said iem from ebay, the description said "plug and play"

guess i should have done my homework before bidding (won it for £35 so no big dramas!)

however now i have it im just wondering if it is as simple as "plug and play"

is my bike bike going to need dynoing etc?

also the description said "power gains" but could anybody add to what it REALLY does?

if its going to need some tinkering (by somebody who knows what theyre doing!!) is there anybody in the guildford area who could oblige in the new year sometime? mrs has got me a full tyga maggot for xmas so would rather do it once thats on!!

cheers guys, and before anybody says it i know i shouldv done my homework before buying but i couldnt resist having a bit of genuine HRC on my baby!!!

thanks again :peace:

It is simply a de-restrictor box. It removes the 180kph speed restriction on the bike. No re-jetting, no power gains, just lets the bike reach its top speed. £35 is a good price as I've seen them go for nearly £100 before.

Iv got one on mine too because it came with it but its cool having a box saying HRC under the seat (along with my HRC rearsets throttle brake res and overflows)

but you never know it may be an nc30 HRC cdi if so thats a bargain and it will raise the rev limit and advance the ignition curve but I doubt it. their pritty rare.

post a picture up tho to be sure

Sorry am I being thick, but does this just do the same as the blue mph convertor? If so is that surely not a cheaper way of obtaining max speed?

No, not I.

Me and No9 are pretty much as pimped to the max as I want to be. I could do a wicked signature with all my bits and bobs...All I need (want) are some mag wheels, a pimp (mruehl) rear axle and maybe a refresh on my panels.

Other than that the job is a good 'un.

Well..I'll get a big bore job when I finally blow the motor and might port the heads over the winter but that is more than some tat bar ends and a set of blue footpegs..innit!
