Hello everyone,
Im in the states and as you guys across the pond know more about 400's than anyone else. I purchased an adaptor from japan so I can run an RS250 NX5 17" x 5.5 rear rim ( I do know that the rotation will be in the opposite direction ) for my NC30, can anyone tell me if you have been down this road where/how to install the adaptor? a picture of it is in the link below. I have no idea where the "plate" goes and what the bolts maybe for, If anyone can help, I would appreciate it!

AFAIK RS wheel offset is the same as the NC so they bolt straight on bar using the conical outer spacer.
Im guessing that large spacer is to space the wheel out to clear the chain which is fine but you will be running the wheels out of alignment.
For what its worth i know a RS 5.25" wheel fits a NC no problem even with a 165 wet tyre theres no chain issues

I'd say those 4 bolts are new flush rear disc bolts . the old standard disc bolts sit in a recess in the wheel, the RS wheels don't have this recess
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

royster,
would you say the adaptor goes between the hub and the disc?

Have you tried fitting the wheel without the spacer?

Going to second what everyone else is saying. The bolts replace the original disc bolts and the spacer fits between the hub and wheel. You will have to fit the bolts but try it without the spacer first. I'm running rs Dymags without any kind of spacer and have no clearance issues.

No I still havnt really looked , I tried it on the std axle without a rear disc and with the hrc rep axle it fits fine , I'm sure timon said in here that he had some std bolt heads machined down to get on to fit
