NC29 choke RPM?

Post by leopard_pagan » Sat Jun 22, 2013 7:12 pm

Just had my carbs cleaned and rebalanced.
But I don't have choke at the Mo!

Can people post cold start on choke RPM at:
1/4th:::
1/2::::
Full out::::

I do need to replace my choke cable as fight to pull it out!
But have no change in RPM when I do get it 1/2 out....

mines stiff as well ;-) but it starts at around 1500 and left after a minute or so it tends to jump tween 2500 to 3000 but to be honest I normally have rode away before this due to not trying to annoy the neibours at 5:30.

Anyone else?
Would like to get a few replies to compare with.
Before balancing I'd get
Quqter; 3/4000 rpm
Half: 4/5000rpm
Full: can't remember as didn't use it at full

Ok LP if i use any more than a whiff of choke from cold then the engine stalls so cant do full on choke or half choke rpm.
Maybe people havent posted on this as they have an NC23 or perhaps their bike isnt running yet.

The choke cable is meant to be stiff as it is spring return on carbs,

Where the actual knob is you can adjust the amount the oring compresses the cable if its that stiff you need Arnie to pull it out

Sorry no rpm readings mine need balancing too
