Stick coils. Neo, you out there lad?

Right so we know CBR600rr stick coils work on NC24's with 10mm plugs so would i be right in thinking they would work on NC35's with 10mm plugs? excuse my lack of electric knowledge

So for ebay purposes what part of the cbr loom do i need?

cheers fella, so from that i think its pretty safe to say they should work and as i have 10mm plugs fitment shouldnt be a problem. Off to ebay i go

You have got your heads helicoiled for the 10mm though haven't you mate? They are not 10mm plugs in standard plug threads..

I think Jeff was thinking getting his bad self some of these...

Heads have been drilled and re-tapped by the looks of it. Plugs are NGK twin tipped, cant remember the number but they use them in R6's i think.

What benifits it gives i dont know, bigger spark bigger bang i guess? but its trick so i like it

Hi guys ive got sticks on the Suzi and they really work well and are a little smoother at the top. The honda loom is wired up in parallel and this needs to be altered so you connect the wasted pug pairs in series. If you wire it up wrongly it will over heat due to the current flow in the wires- if you wire in parallel you will get 16amps across the coil instead of 4amps in seies. They dont seem to work for every bike and i know of people who have had problems with hot starting so lump it and see.

Just out of interest Tony, have you had to make any carb changes to allow these plugs, do you need to burn more fuel?

Hi Jeff, its simple ohms law, the standard coils are about 3 ohms and the stick are 1.5 so if you wire in series you add them 1.5+1.5 = 3 and then 12v / 3ohms=4 amps.
In answer to Tony's twin electrode plugs they are that way so the spark plug does not need indexing (plug shimmed to make electrode face the inlet).
