Headlight Help

Post by spooner » Wed Sep 15, 2010 3:47 pm

One of my headlight bulbs went the other day when i was out for a ride, so after finding a supplier of bulbs (12v 60/35w at £20 each  ) i fitted it and it still didnt work, now the other bulb has gone too so i am left with no dipped beam  , i have checked the fuse under the pillion seat and its ok. has anyone else had this problem and if so how did u fix it. I have now found the bulbs online for £8.45 :x so willorder a couple up but i dont want to fit them until the prob is sorted. any help would be welcome

What were the bulbs you took out? Matbe somebody has put H4 bulbs in thinking it was a UK spec then and frazzled the switchgear!

Surely he'd be able to tell if the bulbs were uk ones apart from the wattage the headlight would of had to be modded for the H4 tabs?

Spooner has got a bit of a bitsa, half UK half Jap! The frame is UK as is log book but engine and other bits appear to be Jap, i just wondered if they had changed the Uk Headlights too!
