@ Mr Bojo - if the reg rec died, there is usually a reason for it...

I have replaced 1 genny and 3 reg recs in the years I have had my NC30s...

If you want to make sure this is all spot on you need to check the plug that goes into the reg rec - is it nice and white, no burning in there? Check the "middle" plug, by your right knee - this is also likely to be showing burned connectors and frazzling... If these 2 connectors are minty fresh...I'll be very impressed.

You should perform the resistance check on the genny and then a charging check on it too.

Do the work needed right first time and then you are rocking...do half a job at each stage and CRM will win the bet... ;)

Hi the toprigh and topleft are burnt in side the block connectrs but all the others are ok they seem a litte white in side the connectors but due to the age of the connector it isnt see through clear, so yes u are spot on about it bein burnt and crusty

what voltage is the 3 wires pushing at the connector block...if i remember rightly, each should be pumping around the 45v mark....
double check the checklist but i think you put the red probe on one of the connections and other against the frame...

The connector with the yellow wires in it.
