Clutch noise
Looking for some advice. The clutch on my NC30 started juddering a little bit about a week ago. The judder seems to have lessened, but I now get a noise like a very rough bearing rumble when I disengage the clutch in neutral. The noise goes away when I select 1st, but I also hear it when slowing down to stop while still in gear. The clutch isn't slipping. Any advice? Tx, James. p.s. The starter has also been making a bit of a rumble / rough sound recently. Could these be related?

Re: Clutch noise
That was my first thought. However I may just be thick, but I couldn't find the release bearing indicated in the Haynes manual.

Re: Clutch noise
Take out the big circlip which holds the clutch lifter plate into the middle of the pressure plate, extract the lifter plate and turn it over- the release bearing is in a counterbored recess on the inside of the plate...
