Need help identifying 2 things 1 is a bolt attached to each side of frame, the 2nd is my model so i can find out what the colour scheme was. Here is a picture of bolt in its location ( i think it may have been for a crash bung ) Image

That bolt is the upper mount for the lower fairings, I guy you've one piece sides or non oe bodywork.

There's a really good site called vsource which has a load of 400 brochures and honda details, one of these is bike id.

Ill stick a link up

It would appear the frame number is right for an '89 bike but the motor is closer to a '90 bike. Maybe it's had an engine swop or maybe some '90 engines went into '89 frames.

proabbyla a bitsa.

AS above, that bolt is to hold the lower farings on, are you missign them?

How aout the front forks / rear shock. do you have the brass screw in the middle of the forks at adjust them or only a big silver screw?

Does your rear shock have a remote resevoir bolted to the frame?

what does the sticker on the undertray say?

@Neosophist it has early front forks i think just got the big silver screw/adjuster, no remote for shock, it's currently got tiga dress ( i still have all the other kit that came off ) but from memory the old panels were 1 piece, I'm not going to bin the bolts even though I don't need them they can go in for plating with the other stuff.
