Re: Oil Leak

Ok,

Managed to get seal ot eventually, tried all sorts of make shift tools (should have bought a seal puller)
Had to give it a whack to get it to move - seal is metal covered in rubber.
I damaged part of the seat at the back but there is enough left to seat a new seal.

I found a spring thingy in there(see photo) - any ideas where this should be and my clutch push rod is in 2 parts as can bee seen in photos

This is the pushrod end I pulled out first - has an insert where the other long bit fits in to

This is the pushrod end together with mangled seal and the unknown little spring thingy This a larger pic of the unkown spring bit If you look carefully you can see the seat at the back with gaps where I broke this, I have cleaned it out, need to get a seal ordered but need to know what the little sping bit is before I do anything else.
Any ideas on this and a part no for this seal?

The spring is part of the seal,When you get your new one take a look on the inside lip of the seal you will see your spring.

OK thanks.

I have contacted David Silverspares and they have come back with the part no
91204KE8003
which is described as - OIL SEAL,13X22X5 *B

Now as far as I know this means 13mm ID, 22mm OD and 5mm thick

But having just measured the clutch push rod it is 8mm diameter, so 13mm is a bit big
the 22mm looks about right and it is about 7 or 8mm thick

Does anyone know the definite part no for this seal before I order the wrong sizes

Cheers

Ok,

Measured push rod and space where it will go and ordered 2 of these at David Silver Spares
91204-MB0-013

Oil Seal 8x25x8 is the correct size for those who need to do this.

I had been given a couple of different sizes as suggestions, but finally measured (should have done this first).

Fitted last night. Used a socket form my socket set with similar diameter on the extension rod and tapped in gently with a rubber mallet. Started bike and no oil leaks - fits perfectly.

Thanks all for help
