I got a length or rubber hose and cut it along the centre and then fitted around the tank edges. Not the prettiest but fine for track and saves dropping those pesky rubber blocks all the time!

i never though they had rubber on the sides, all the tanks on ebay dont have rubbers.. i was going to put rubber under the bolt on the frame so its heightened a few mm, along with the rubber around the bottom where the seat bolts on, it should just stop the rattle and make me less paranoid :D

There definitely should be a piece of rubber that almost completely wraps around the tab at the bottom of the tank that is held on with the same bolt that holds the seat on, as well as a thick piece at the top bolt (near the top yoke) and there should also be 2 pieces of rubber preventing the sides of the tank from touching the frame.

Dan, as Adrian says - you need rubbers on the sides. Fitting extra rubber at the front and rear won't fix it!
With the Honda side blocks you do need to glue them onto the tank.

ahh, well i never knew that :)
i fitted an extra rubber where it bolts near the yoke and its fixed all the issue for now.
when i have some spare ££ i'll get the new rubbers

They're not the Honda rubber blocks but anything like that will do the job.

I tried very hard not to troll on that.DK-Tandy wrote:i might be able to get some rubber from my dad or mate

I got my tank rubbers from David Silver Spairs, but they are completely overpriced for what they are so I guess this is pretty useless comment for you.
Anything that makes a snug fit will be fine.
