Re: Yoshimura Fitment?
If you want an inexpensive carbon can and you aren't worried about a big name company, have a look at this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
Real carbon fibre, you specify the length between 250-450mm, you specify the inlet diameter, overall diameter is 110mm, weight is 1,729g including decibel killer and 'good quantity and quality pack', all for £120 posted.
I don't own one - I've recently been searching for a can for my University's Formula Student car and this is the best I have found so far so we may buy one soon.
If anyone knows of a contender I'd love to hear.
As for Akrapovic cans, this seller was selling new carbon oval race cans for £169 (RRP £385 apparently), although they were 60mm fitment. They've got some s/h Yoshis up atm so maybe keep and eye out:

That might be a good trackday can incase of some spills.
Did Yoshimura ever make a full system or is it just guys making their end cans fit?

Agree with Wozza.
If purpose to build track bike you don't need to worry about brands or 'sounds', you need to save weight - so, any light, small can with 51mm inner dimmension will fit. But for the race I think will be reasonable to paid for full exhaust system. The purpose for changing the pipes is I am building a Track bike so purely for performance.
