Critical wheelbase

Post by PARUS » Sat Apr 10, 2010 9:50 pm

Hi guys,

Have anybody play with different wheelbase. The standard wheelbase is 1,365mm. As I remember somebody on the old forum told me that he run 1320 - 1330 mm and it was ok. Will be appreciate any info.

I pulled the wheel right forward and stuck a 15:45 sprocket combo on for what was essentially a go-kart track at home and found it turned a wee bit quicker, flicked from left to right very nicely, but never compared it with where I would normally have the wheel (mid markers). Dont ask me about top end stability as I dont think I was ever above 4th gear.

Thank you for response. Did you change chain length or run with stock 102 links ?

From memory I stuck with the standard length, thats why we ran 15:45 and not a 14:42. However I've never actually sat down and counted my links when changing chains, I just offer it up and knock the pin out where it fits.
