My good friend and sponsor Rich Llewellin of Louigi Moto took all of 3.5 hours on Sunday (with a hangover!) to do this conversion, just out of the parts he had lying about in his workshop - I kid you not!!

The bike is a 1992 CBR400RR-N Gullarm...

Another view of the front wheel/brakes

Image
Close up of yoke fitment - a perfect fit!

Image
Only one locking ring required as the top yoke effectively acts as top locking nut

Image
Bottom yoke - Bump/lock stop will be fitted to the fairing/headlight bracket

View of top 'nut' and just visable is a spacer, shown better in the next pic...

One of two spacers Rich had to turn up. The other is on the bottom of the stem.

This conversion used:

999 bottom yoke
Monster stem
916 top yoke
CBR400RR headrace bearings
748/916 forks
748/916 front wheel
50mm clip-ons
40mm brake calipers (ZX7R in this case)
Brembo brake master cylinder
CBR400RR clutch lever assembly
...and two home made spacers!

I reckon this has to be one of the trickest front ends fitted to a CBR400RR in the world?

I can't wait to ride it now - woo hoo!!! 8-)

now that does look ever so pretty when i see these trick mods it make me tempted to do mine.
would this add any improvement to proformance or handling?
