Howdy guys :D

Well I got me log book this morning so am all fully road legal now, tax, insurance and mot and no sooner had I put the tax on the bike I was reaching for me leathers to go have a play

First impression as I pulled off, fook me the pegs are high in leathers lol gets round corner, bike doesn't wanna pull well from cold, so I respect it and let it warm up fully.

Gets to petrol station whacks a tenner in, fills it, saddles up and off I goes again.

5 or so mins later I give it some beans, warrrrppppppp 3rd gear gives a shove like a powerband so I keep it going right round to 16,000rpm Woooooo hard on the brakes, .. easy tiger, I then heads off to the long duel carridgeway.

Banks round long left hander up through the gears, head tucked in arse up against the seat, coming down a LONG stretch into a long right hander, snicks it into 6th, throttle held back to the stop, 12,000rpm in top Wahoo and its still pulling, wooooossshhhhhh...

What a buzz that has been today and fook me what a sound :worthy:

I took a few pics ere :

Never tried to get me knee down today but I did push it a bit just to see what it was like, I have gone from a R1 that never wanted to tip in, to one that falls on its side :worthy: for me first run this isn't too bad and I've taken it past the band first go, when I get more practice and confidence these will go and I can get a new pic and compare em

All in all a great ride and lots of fun  loving the V4, different characteristics than an inline 4, ya can't come down the gears and blip on the down change as effective on the V4 as you can on an inline 4 and theres defo more engine braking on the V4 too.

Just one problem today and that was me speedo isn't working :( I would love to have seen what speed I pulled while banked over in top at 12.000rpm, I bet it was about 130 ? certainly fast enough.

Something else I have seen, there is a HRC ECU you can get which gives you an extra 1,000rpm but my bike revs past the end of the limiter so I wonder if this has already been done ? either way performance wise I is very happy :D

So far very happy with the RVF

With you on the "fun factor" the RVF provides

Regarding the revs probably just that the counter is reading high and you're not at the limit? I know that speedos on bikes are usually way out and I guess the same can apply to the rev counter?
