I am currently running CV's, but the bike is off to the wizard on Monday next week to have the flatslides tuned.

I'm running a modified standard loom and HRC CDI. Last time I had it at the dyno we noticed a slight difference when the TPS was plugged or unplugged. As the flatties don't have a TPS do I need to do anything?

Alternatively anyone got an HRC loom or a HRC loom wiring diagram?!

Greg, I just sold Jon (400gb member) an nc29 hrc loom, but he only wanted it for the cdi plug (was the only spare one I had).

The hrc loom had the TPS connector, it also has no charging circuit.

I have some good race loom diagrams for the nc30, which isn't far off what you'll need for the '29 (just the small fact that the wires are different colours - easy if you draw it up on a computer!).

Okay, so if the HRC loom has the TPS, and the flatslides don't, how do most people get around this?

Presumably the TPS adjusts the advance slightly on the ignition curve based on the resistance of the TPS circuit. So what happens if I can establish what max advance equals for the circuit, and hard wire the circuit to achieve that? (Ie wire the circuit to 'fool' it into thinking the TPS is fully open 100% of the time).

And what does max advance (if it is max advance) do to the ignition curve?

How do the other Flatslide runners get around this? (insert head scratching icon here)

Can I have a looky at the NC30 loom piccie you have? I'll be able to answer at least one of my other questions regarding the loom...

How are you going guys, I have just finished doing a lot of work with the HRC NC29 CDI and I can tell you that for one if you have a HP difference between TPS unplugged and full throttle, you more than likely have a fault in the TPS wiring / TPS unit / calibration with full throttle. Second to this I can tell you that the unit will default to full throttle with TPS unplugged ( which explains my previous statement). Hope this helps. feel free to ask anything else. cheers

I guess you could always use a keihin fcr tps, probably not cheap though! I have a few copies of the keihin parts catalogue, pm me if you want me to post you a copy.

I don't think it will matter at all if you just leave the standard tps unplugged with the fcr's.

I was thinking of putting a variable potentiometer on the TPS so the tuner can play with the throttle position setting...but I'm thinking I can't be fagged! Full advance will do i'm sure!

Why there is no cut-off relay for fuel pump? Does it correct for the race bike ? And what is optimate ?

Ah, you dont really need these on race bike and the optimate is just the battery charger connector. The less to go wrong the better!!
