Now i may sound dumb with this post! but iv only ever bin able 2 get bridgestone bt090's! (g8 tyre) bt woz wondering wot else is out there! and if they are any better! I did have a bridgestone 012 (i think ) bt woz crap!

dunlop A10's or GPR70 are good sticky tyres if you can get them, most others will be a more high mileage tyre,but you'd know this if you had of done a search

Cheers for that! see the prob iv had is were i live there is only really 2 places i get tyres and get the fitted and the bt 090s are the only ones the ever sugest!

Of the Bridgestones, BT90's are the best to get. I've tried BT92's and while they're good for longevity, they're not very good cornering-wise. I had major confidence issues with them! The 90's are a softer compound and give much better feedback, feel a lot more "planted" on the road and I have a lot more confidence with them.
I've heard good reports about the A10's, but am inclined to stick with what I know.

As well as the BT90/92 you can also get the BT-014 in a 150/60/18 profile. (going to be around £130.00 I should imagine)

This is probably the most 'racing' oriented street tyre Bridgestone make, i'm not too clued up on other manufacturers. However, my old man had some on his CBR900RR3 and they were great.

Neo: not sure about 014's for bigger bikes (e.g 170mm+) but the BT090 is a far softer tyre than the 014 in smaller sizes.

I've raced on 090's I wouldn't dare with an 014, although they are a better compromise than the 092 on road I think.
