ive got a feeling that my stator coils are shot but i have a knackered 600 engine sat in the shed which has still got the intact stator coils on it. the only problem is that the coils from the 600 sit in the the generator cover and not on the cranckcase like on the 400 anyone got any ideas

I thought the 3HE and 1WG are similar they both sit inside the cover ... but maybe not the same in the details of the wiring.

The 3TJ has the magnetic windings on the crank end they're again similar to the 4JH but the wires come out the casing in a different place. The casings aren't interchangable because of that

the wiring comin fro the stator coil is exactly the same on the 600 as the 400

The staor coils are different on a fzr6 3he to a fzr6 4jh as i found out when fitting a 4jh engine to a 3he engine same with the covers

Try this place for all sorts of coils and ignition parts you may be able to match a part up.
