Front end Opinions?

I'm new to the Forum but have reecently got my hands on an NC30 project bike that I have little history for(last on the road 2004 and has pretty much stood neglected since then. The Abba stand arrived yesterday so the strip down begins today! My plan is to start at the front end with a strip down of the Forks/new seals/ fluid.. The bike looks to have been upgraded in the past and is currently running fairly good condition prolite discs . Maybe when I get into the forks I'll find a trick pair of progressive springs but then again! The more I read on here I see that the Rick O upgrade seems to be well thought of. I plan on using the bike mainly on track but will put in on road too. Would the standard set up be OK or should I look to upgrade the forks to the Rick O kit or similar while I have it all stripped down? I've only done one track day but fancy using this bike to get into them a bit more? Any opinions would be appreciated...

Hi,
You wont go too far wrong with one of Rick's kits, and it comes with everything you need to do the job, even a syringe to remove any excess oil! Price is rather reasonable too.
(I'd also recommend one of his lower radiators, they are nice, fitted mine at the weekend. :blowout: )

If you post up pics of the internals, I'm sure someone on here could say if they were non-standard or not.
Good luck with the strip down/ rebuild.

+1 for ricks kit.

on my 1st nc35 i had the forks rebuilt by a specialist that fitted progresive springs, didnt get on with them at all and never had the confidence to push the front hard. with my 2nd nc35 i decided to get ricks kit and do it myself and the difference is black and white, i wouldnt fit anything else now.
