NC30 Rear Brake Switch Problem

I was fitting a new wheel this weekend gone to the NC30, and had a good clean up off the swinger and some joints as they were gopping. Anyway a lot of places got a good dose of cleaner, since then I have noticed that when you press the rear brake the brake light stays on, even though the pedal HAS released. Sometimes tapping it turns them off but most of the time now it just stays on!
I assume I have fubarred the switch? Is this a seperate part and easily changed? Or does it require a new master cylinder?

It probably just needs adjusting. If its like most other hondas, there should be a spring attached to the brake pedal and a small black cartridge thing attached to it. Its got an adjuster at the top. You will probably get away with winding it back a turn, or take the whole thing off and give it a bit of a clean.
This is what it looks like off the bike.

Ahh cool thanks for that!
I will whip it off tonight and give it a good clean and then adjust it!
Cheers for the info

Chances are if your bike was gopping, the switch was as well. It'll clean up ok, plenty of WD40 and it'll be fine.

I'd personally advise after that though that you lube it with something more long lasting than WD40[1], I use spray grease.

[1] WD40 is ace for cleaning but no good for long term lubrication.
