Tyres - BT90 OR BT92's

Hello,
I have got a BT92 on the front of my bike and a really old tyre on the back which needs replacing - not sure what it is, it came with the bike and its not with me at the moment..
I need to choose between the BT92 or BT90 - prefer the look of the 90, however will this feel awkward with the 92 up front?
Is it best to get matching tyres? Or would it not matter if I got the BT90 (which I believe is a softer tyre?)
Thanks in advance for the replies..
Current rear tyre..

get a 92 rear and when your 92 front wears out get a 90 front.
The 92 lasts a long time but still has good grip. The 90 will square off in normal road riding fairly quickly..
90 front is the mutts nuts..

I'm thinking of trying a pair of Pilot Road 2s next - would a 90/92 combo be any better?
Anything's gotta be better than Metzeler ME-Z4s

090 front for the grip, 092 rear for the longevity.
common combo..... *IF* you can get your hands on the BT tyres!

Just a thought - I'd make sure you are happy with the profile of the 92 before you put the money down. The last tyre I had on my NC29 was a 92 and the profile was shallow causing the tyre to go off the edge at moderate lean angles. Not good - it was more than wobbly!!!
When that was worn I went for the 90 which transformed the bike and now i can't get the tyre off the edge no matter how far I dare lean!
Both tyres were exactly the same size so I'm not sure what was going on. I guess the profile on the 90 was made for more intense riding.

I've heard that before actually. What about the BT-014 then?

He means the contact with the road going off the edge of the tyre. It's easy to imagine looking at one:

Sorry for being thick but I still dont get it.. do you mean that the tyre is just not good for 400's as it can lean further than the tyre has rubber? Like almost running on the tyre wall?
