hey guys, there a cbr 400 nc23 near me and im thinking of buying it. is £800 go for a 1988 bike with this lot just done?
a new set of fairings
new rear tyre
new chain and sprocket
engine and forks serviced
tank repainted to match the fairings
and many other little bits.
did about 500 miles on it last summer and that is it, so still as good as new since i have done the work. all in all i spent around 1k doing up the bike. not got any tax or mot at minute due to me selling it. doesn't start at the min because the battery is dead. but starts with jump leads on?

also have any of you had any experience with k-conversion kits? or tyga kits? and the best place to get them from? and could you please list be some places to buy aftermarket and standard parts

cheers

the k conversion kit is a pain in the arse to fit and the quality of the fiberglass is poor (i have it fitted to one of my bikes) but does look good, but be warned brackets need to be made the clocks need to be moved and because of the quality sanding down before paint is a nightmare, i am waiting for a race fairing off the 08 cbr6rr which would be easyer to fit than the k conversion kit and a lot cheaper , greame france would be my first call for spares

not really you can get the tyga kit but at £850 plus you got paint it, it's exspensive, thats why im going with the race fairings and adding lights

Bike sounds good but I wouldn't buy it without an MOT. Tell them you'll buy it if they fit a new battery and MOT it. If they won't do that with their own money, tell them you'll cover the costs. If they still won't do it, I'd leave it - bit dodgy if they refuse to MOT it at all.
